Why Union Bank sucks:
To Whom it May Concern (via web portal):
Despite or perhaps in retaliation to my earlier customer service issue report, Union Bank representatives have continued to cause me trouble and time concerning accounts held with your bank.
I received a letter to update my home address or else my account would be closed. On that letter, your representative typed "phisical" instead of "physical", I guess that should be an indication of the professionalism I would expect to be dealing with. I then proceeded to immediately call the number provided on the letter to update my home address. The Union Bank representative updated the address and told me I was in no danger of the account being closed.
But, I come to find out two weeks later, that my savings account was no longer listed on my banking site. A call to customer support finds that my address update wasn't ported to all of my accounts and that my savings account was set to be closed. The representative helped me put my home address on all of my accounts and said to check back today to make sure that the changes were made and that the account got back online.
I checked and it wasn't and I had to talk to a supervisor, who put me on hold for 28 minutes, only to return and say that it hadn't been done yet but that he would fix the issue. That supervisor also indicated that the reason was because of a letter from the postal office stating that mail was undeliverable, which we both know couldn't possibly be the truth because I obviously got your letter to update my address.
Overall, I must say that I am very displeased with your bank and will do everything in my power to dissuade people from using your services. I additionally will be looking to move my accounts to another bank. I'm not sure that you even care about the concerns I am addressing here nor about me as a customer, after all you're a big bank and I'm just a small customer. But, a ripple starts with a little pebble and can grow quite large.
This all started because of the inappropriate attitudes and actions of the Mission Grove branch in Riverside, CA and the manager there. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Pay attention to the Facebook and Twitter mentions your bank is about to get. I will only speak the truth.
